To make a cozy rag quilt, you simply cut two large squares of flannel and sew a diagonal cross in the middle, sew together with large seams and clip the seams at about 1/4" intervals. When you you wash and dry them, the fluff up or "bloom" to make a nice little quilt for a child or a lap.
